Emerald Street Recommend Australasia
PICK AND CHOOSE YOUR LUNCH
The small plates available on Australasia's new lunch menu (two for £11; three for £15; four for £20) are characterised by clean flavours and fresh combinations. We recommend the Thai fish salad and mussels with miso, which make the perfect choice if you want to indulge, but still avoid the dreaded afternoon slump. Try the orange and Thai ginger-infused water as a cleansing accompaniment - it's a thing of beauty, as it comes swirling in a tall jug on the table - or the rose and lychee martini if you're skipping the afternoon altogether.
A menu of Pacific Rim flavours underpinned by European cooking tradition, an exotic blend of Indonesian and Southeast Asian influences. Australia's strong ties with Japan also help determine taste and style.
With an extension of Australasia is Grand Pacific - a contemporary colonial oasis in the heart of Spinningfields. Combining modern Australian cuisine and Pacific Rim flavours with a wealth of delicious cocktails, Grand Pacific offers a lighter side of the Australasia experience . With a canopied outdoor garden, Grand Pacific is a refreshing retreat from the bustle of the city.
