A Journey through Australasia
On Tuesday 26th March, Australasia hosted its first charity dinner in aid of Breast Cancer Care. The event 'A Journey through Australasia' complete with airline tickets and inflight brochures was designed to take our guests on a journey through the influences and inspirations behind the restaurant. Starting with cocktails in our 'English Country Garden' created by Cheshire Cat Events and Red Floral Architecture, to then board the flight to Japan with a selection of Sushi, off to Sydney for some robata grill, to Thailand for some tasters and back to Europe for dessert.
The evening was hosted by Chelsea Spokes of Key 103's breakfast show and attended by Manchester's finest!
Incredible auction prizes included signed Manchester United and Manchester City shirts, dinner at Manchester House and a comprehensive spa package from the award winning Titanic Spa in Huddersfield.
Raffle prizes include Diamond vouchers from David M Robinson, Ted Baker Accessories and a Selfridges Shopping experience.
A great night was had by all who attended and we raised just under £5000 for Breast Cancer Care.
A menu of Pacific Rim flavours underpinned by European cooking tradition, an exotic blend of Indonesian and Southeast Asian influences. Australia's strong ties with Japan also help determine taste and style.
With an extension of Australasia is Grand Pacific - a contemporary colonial oasis in the heart of Spinningfields. Combining modern Australian cuisine and Pacific Rim flavours with a wealth of delicious cocktails, Grand Pacific offers a lighter side of the Australasia experience . With a canopied outdoor garden, Grand Pacific is a refreshing retreat from the bustle of the city.
