Living Ventures sets sail for Grand Pacific
Living Ventures has unveiled a new spin-off concept for its upmarket Australasia restaurant in Manchester-the Grand Pacific Bar and Garden.
The venue will be linked to Australasia by a staircase up to a Pacific-inspired bar. The bar will emphasise cocktails, and there will be light dishes including sushi from Australasia's menu. Grand Pacific Bar and Garden will open on 1 July.
Australasia has proved a successful move into upscale dining for Living Ventures, which is now readying Manchester House, its Spinningfields concept with Aiden Byrne that is aiming to pick up the city's first Michelin star.
Living Ventures is also readying the launch of Artisan, its latest restaurant in Manchester's Spinningfields development. The venue will launch on 27 June. Artisan will cover 12,000 square feet on the Avenue North section of Spinningfields, with a stripped-back feel and two wood ovens at the centre of the restaurant serving up meat, fish and pizza dishes.
A menu of Pacific Rim flavours underpinned by European cooking tradition, an exotic blend of Indonesian and Southeast Asian influences. Australia's strong ties with Japan also help determine taste and style.
With an extension of Australasia is Grand Pacific - a contemporary colonial oasis in the heart of Spinningfields. Combining modern Australian cuisine and Pacific Rim flavours with a wealth of delicious cocktails, Grand Pacific offers a lighter side of the Australasia experience . With a canopied outdoor garden, Grand Pacific is a refreshing retreat from the bustle of the city.
