Best of British at Blackhouse

This month we look Swiss-side for some beefy inspiration, to the Simmental breed known to represent some of the best beef breeding material in the world.

The breed originates from the Simmen Valley in Switzerland where they established themselves in herds across Europe - and beyond. Proof if any that the breed is easily adaptable to the most varied of climates and lands, and their Cumbrian base near Carlisle is no less that. There they are left to roam and feed across a keen selection of turf and terrain.

The Simmentals popularity among beef eaters is sure testament to the fact it has a great flavour and eating quality. Timeless beef pleasure which we hope you’ll enjoy eating with us this July.

Available at all Blackhouse restaurants throughout July.
