The Grill on the Market: Smithfield

The Grill on the Market: Smithfield

By Serge DeNimes

Located next to London's Smithfield Market, The Grill on the Market is a popular lunchtime restaurant and post-work destination for city locals. With easy access to Farringdon Tube station, the restaurant is reminiscent of a sleek Manhattan steakhouse. The interior is filled with dark wood, leather booths, glittering chandeliers and soft lighting, making it an perfect place for a date.

The Grill on the Market makes an excellent spot for lunch, or cocktails after work. Also look out for the live music in the evenings, which add to the chic nature of the bar. The menu is meat heavy, but with welcome additions such as Lobster in garlic butter, or the more unusual grilled ostrich steak, which leave more adventurous diners coming back again and again.
