Flannels and guests celebrated in style at the Flannels Creates charity auction in support of The Christie on Thursday 29th November 2012 at the Flannels Spinningfields flagship store in Manchester.

To celebrate the 35th Anniversary of Flannels, the evening showcased a unique collection of 40 mannequins, created exclusively by designer brands for Flannels Creates in aid of The Christie.

To launch the campaign to raise £50,000 for The Christie, 15 mannequins were auctioned on the night, with the remaining 25 mannequins to be sold exclusively through the online auction at The online auction is currently live and will finish on Sunday 9th December and Monday 10th December 2012.

At the launch evening, guests were greeted at the Spinningfields store with a champagne reception and canapés, served by The Oast House, followed by live music from The Jessie Rose Trip. The fashion exhibition featured 40 models from Boss Model Management, showcasing exclusive Autumn Winter looks from Matthew Williamson, McQ Alexander McQueen, Moncler, Nigel Cabourn, Sunspel, Dries Van Noten, Les Hommes and Tom Ford.

The auction, led by compere Hugh Ferris, saw 15 of the 40 mannequins auctioned to the highest bidder. The mannequins included designs by Matthew Williamson, Roberto Cavalli, Stone Island, 2nd Day and Moncler, with the sought-after pieces raising fantastic amounts for The Christie.

To carry on the evening of fashion, fundraising and entertainment, guests moved over to an exclusive afterparty at The Oast House and outside courtyard for a performance by The Crookes. Guests were also treated to mulled wine and winter fruit skewers with a DJ set inside the festive tee-pee, The Oast House's exclusive winter venue.


The raffle prize draw saw guests take home a selection of prizes, ranging from a £2,500 Flannels wardrobe, a pair of Christian Louboutins to a stay at The Mere Resort & Spa.

To end the evening, guests were treated to goody bags with treats including gifts from Flannels' brands, macaroons from The English Rose Bakery, an exclusive Flannels discount, hair treats from Nicky Clarke and more!

Proceeds from Flannels Creates will go towards reaching the £50,000 target to be donated to The Christie, the largest cancer research centre in Europe.


There is still a chance to show your support and donate to the campaign through the online auction currently showing at and hosted by The remaining bespoke mannequins include designs from Burberry, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Markus Lupfer, Raoul, Diane Von Furstenburg and Billionaire Boys Club. The sought after collectable pieces are available only until Monday 10th December and are not to be missed.

  • Dolce & Gabbana Mannequin - handmade by the team in Italy especially for the auction
