Manchester House's Aiden Byrne has assembled a dream team of top chefs to cook up a storm at a fundraising dinner.

Tom Aikens, who held two Michelin stars as the former head chef of London's Pied a Terre, and protégés Tom Sellers, Lee Westcott, Vicky Endersen, Dan Smith and Roger Hickman, will join forces to create an eight-course tasting menu at the Spinningfields restaurant.

The event will raise money for Hospitality Action, which gives a lifeline to restaurant, bar and hotel industry workers at times of crisis.

Aiden, who worked alongside Aikens as sous chef as Pied a Terre and later as head chef at his other Michelin-starred restaurant Tom Aikens, said: "I'm so pleased that everyone agreed to come and work with me on this special one-off occasion.
"We all know each other from working under Tom and it is so exciting for us to have all of his protégés cooking under one roof in the Manchester House kitchen, and I can think of no better cause to do this for than Hospitality Action.

"I've been involved with Hospitality Action for some time and been fortunate to see the great support they provide to people who are struggling with something in their lives."

The charity will receive the majority of the proceeds from tickets, which are priced at £200 per person including wine pairing.

A number of Manchester House's suppliers have helped towards the event, with Wellocks, MyFish and Ritter Fresh providing ingredients and Liberty Wines sponsoring the wine.

David Walker, Chairman of Hospitality Action's Northern board, said: "We are hugely grateful to Aiden for using his contacts to pull together what promises to be an unforgettable event for food lovers.

"It's not often you get the opportunity to sample a meal cooked by seven separate chefs of such calibre, whilst at the same time raising much needed funds for charity."
