Local Pub Wins Prestigious National Pub Award

A Liverpool pub has won acclaim for the quality and success of its spirits offer.
The Smugglers Cove in Liverpool has been named joint winner of the Best Spirits Bar/Pub for the North West region in the Great British Pub Awards 2015.
The awards are organised by leading pub industry magazine, the Publican's Morning Advertiser.
Its editor Ed Bedington says: "The award recognises pubs that have best promoted and driven sales of spirits in the past year.
With award breaking numbers of rums on offer, the Smugglers is proving a real destination for the Albert dock location. The judges commended the bar on their clever marketing to attract children in with a special kids menu as well as clever branding to make the bar really stand out from its competition.

The Best Spirits Bar/Pub category is sponsored by drinks company Diageo.
The Smugglers Cove will now go forward to the Great British Pub Awards 2015 national final, held at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, London, on Thursday, September 10th.
It will go head to head with other regional winners for the UK title ‘Best Spirits Pub/Bar 2015' and also have the opportunity to compete for the overall champions of champions title of ‘Great British Pub of the Year 2015.'
