Christmas at the Oast House Review by Simply Homemade
Christmas has come early at The Oast House in Manchester in the form of a Winter Teepee, complete with yummy festive food and drink.
We suspect people in Manchester will be feeling very Christmassy from now on, thanks to The Oast House in Spinningfields, which has just set up its very first Winter Teepee - a tented bar with enough festive food, drink and live music to see folk through till January.
This rather bohemian pub only opened in October last year but it's already gained quite a following, thanks to its distinctive menu of locally sourced produce, the outdoor barbecue and its olde-worlde feel.
And the Winter Teepee is just the ticket to get the yuletide season off to a truly magical start. Business development manager Natalie Brindle says it's going to be a real winter wonderland, with wooden tables and benches, an open fire, blankets, reindeer skins, roast chestnuts, mulled wine and spiced cider - all you could ever ask for to really get into the Christmas spirit.
"There will be hot pot served on the terrace every Thursday," she adds, "and we're having the Halle on a few occasions in December singing Christmas carols."
As well as the lovely day-to-day menu, a rare-breed hog roast has been added - so there will be no excuse for hungry tummies!
If you want to catch the carolers at The Oast House, make sure you get a table on the 28th of November, the 6th or the 13th of December.
