Gusto and Red Door Create The Perect Spectre Martinis

By Jade Wright, Liverpool Echo

Shaken not stirred: Merseyside bars and restaurants create the perfect Spectre Martinis.

When Daniel Craig comes home he'll be spoilt for choice with these tasty tipples

Over at Gusto Heswall, just down the road from Daniel Craig's native Hoylake, bar tender Chris Holland has created a twist on the classic dirty Martini.

The Spectre 007 Martini (£8.50) is made with 60ml Belvedere, 10ml dry vermouth, a Sicilian green olive and the secret ingredient - 5ml green olive brine.

Gently muddle olives in base of mixing glass and add the remaining ingredients and shake (not stir!) hard with ice/double strain into a chilled martini glass/garnish with Sicilian green olives.

At Red Door on Berry Street they have two martinis to get you in the mood. First there's the Espresso Jaliso (£7.50), with offee flavoured tequila, vanilla vodka and espresso. Or, for something a little sweeter, try the Bond girl's favourite, a Pornstar Martini (£8.50), with vodka, Passoa, Pineapple Juice, Homemade L& Juice, Passion fruit juice and a side shot of prosecco.
